Alexandra ward panel meeting

We apologize for dropping the ball and not notifying people sooner of the time change of the ward panel meeting. 

We had our Ward Panel Meeting last night at United Reformed Church on Elgar Avenue. Around 14 of us, which included 2 councillors, 5 police officers, and 7 residents attended. 

We spoke about local concerns regarding speeding, drugs, ASB, fly tipping, and other concerns. We have set 3 priorities that matter to residents the most, which include burglary, Drugs and vehicle crime. 

Local Officers have also made two promises to our residents. It was shared with us that speeding is a problem at certain locations on the Alexandra ward, as well as on the BROADWAY. Lookout for us in the coming weeks, we will be carrying out speeding operations to reduce the speed of traffic. 

The other promise made, was to make sure there is more of a Police presence at TOLWORTH CLOSE. It has been reported to us that there has been an increase in drugs and ASB in that specific area. Officers have previously closed down a drug line at this location, due to subduing a suspect that made off from us.
